The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride
PLEASE NOTE THE  DATE CHANGE IN 2010 TO THE 5TH JUNE TO AVOID CLASHING WITH AN ENGLAND WORLD CUP GAME.

Organised by John Taylorson MBE, this sponsored 72 mile cycle ride from Wetherby to Filey takes place the 3rd Saturday after Spring Bank Holiday Monday each year. Approximately 1,500 riders raise between £70,000 and £122,000 per year and since 1984 it has raised almost £1.5 million for the charities involved in the organisation of the event.. The Bike Ride also receives commercial sponsorship from various companies.
